Ocean Breeze Park Pre-Manufactured Building Low Bidder

Fitzpatrick & Associates has been named low bidder on the New York City Park & Recreation Department’s Ocean Breeze Pre-Manufactured Building contract located in Staten Island, NY. Ocean Breeze is a 110–acre park that was once part of the Staten Island University Hospital campus. This project will add 18.5 acres of parkland by combining a 12.5 acre portion of South Beach State Park and a 6 acre portion of Midland Beach Park. Much of the park consists of sand dunes, wetlands, grasslands and shrub forest, and will remain in its natural state. The site of the proposed project is a large parcel of land, approximately 10 acres, and will be the site of the new indoor track and field facility that will accommodate 2,500 seats. The project is planned to be one of the largest indoor athletic facilities in the country.
